In 1824 George Williams was granted 500 acres of land at Paterson that he named "Brisbane Grove". It was on the Paterson River directly opposite Cintra (see map). His son Vincent was granted an adjoining 60 acres.

Brisbane Grove was purchased by Caleb and Felix Wilson in June 1834. They advertised it for lease in October 1834 and again in November 1836 (see 1836 advert at right). Caleb and Felix Wilson had also purchased the nearby Tocal estate from James Webber in 1834. After Caleb Wilson died in 1838, ownership of Brisbane Grove passed to Felix Wilson and then to his Estate until the property was sold in 1893.
Soon after the 1836 advertisement, Brisbane Grove was leased to Samuel Kingston (snr) who ran the estate to 1851 (he died in 1852). From 1851 it was leased to Joseph Tucker. In 1893 the Estate of Felix Wilson sold Brisbane Grove to William Cann Tucker.
Brisbane Grove remained in the Tucker family until John Brisbane Tucker sold a large part of it to George Tickle and his son Clarence in 1949. Tucker sold the remaining portion to Peter Dixon in 1953. Today Brisbane Grove is a peri-urban area subdivided into lifestyle blocks.
